At ACF, our pastoral care support is defined by three key values:
• Love
• Prayer
• Faith
Jesus said love is the greatest commandment. Therefore at it’s heart pastoral care is a
response to the words of Jesus to love others more than ourselves. This engagement with
others leads us to fervently engage in prayer. Prayer ensures that all pastoral care
engages God in the circumstance. It emphasises that God is bigger than our experiences.
Faith keeps us realistic and our feet firmly planted on the ground. We acknowledge that we
do not have all the answers but firmly believe that God does! In faith, we engage in
pastoral care within ACF, believing through prayer and in love that our God is able to work
dramatically in all our lives.
