Vijay starts a short series that traces the storyline of the Bible as God’s commitment to bless creation. In this first sermon he looks at the story beginning from creation to the account at Babel. When God creates humans, he blesses them with the capacity to flourish, enjoy God’s creation and enjoy healthy relationship with others. This capacity for blessedness is ultimately rooted in a right relationship with God. But not only are humans to enjoy such blessing, they are also to be instruments of it as they enrich others. The story from the Fall to the Tower of Babel is that humans fail to both enjoy such blessing and to pass it on to others. What will God do ensure that his intention will indeed come to pass? That will be the subject of the next sermon.
